I am Dr. Sharon K. Wong. It has been my dream to have a fulfilling and rewarding career in the profession of veterinary medicine. I have lived my dream since establishing Best Friends Mobile Veterinary Services in 1997.
Prior to becoming the "Best Friends Mobile Vet," I worked in Atlanta and my hometown of Augusta, GA. I worked many long and hard hours in multi-doctor companion animal practices. Operating a mobile veterinary practice now enables me to maintain a balance between family, work, and leisure activities.
I have always been involved with community organizations such as the CSRA Animal Shelter and Athens Area Humane Society. I am a member of several professional organizations such as the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Association of Housecall Practitioners and Mobile Veterinarians. Some of the events in which I have participated are "Veterinary Day at the State Capitol" and "Grace's Luau."
In addition to having graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, attending national conferences is the best way to further my education and stay cutting-edge. I have attended the North American Veterinary Conference, the Western Veterinary Conference, and the American Conference of Veterinary Internal Medicine.
